TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 29, 2016 Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has hired Kay Sears, formerly president of Intelsat General, as its space systems organization’s new vice president for strategy and business development, GovCon Executive reported Wednesday.
Lockheed said March 22 Sears will be in charge of the business unit’s strategic planning, technology development and expansion efforts effective April 4.
“Kay is a respected leader with a proven track record of helping defense and civil agencies advance their missions through space and satellite communications, ” said Rick Ambrose, executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Space Systems.
