TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 14, 2016 The Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Boeing (NYSE: BA) joint venture United Launch Alliance has assigned $134 million toward the development of the Vulcan rocket in an effort to be independent from the Russian RD-180 engine, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
Space News reported Thursday the U.S. Air Force plans to put $201 million into the Vulcan program and the integration of Blue Origins BE-4 engine with the rocket’s design.
