Darron Makrokanis
Darron Makrokanis, a former program manager and senior business development executive at Splunk, has joined Tenable Network Security as vice president of the company’s federal sales division.
He brings defense, intelligence and law enforcement market experience to his new role and will be responsible for the organization’s expansion strategy in the federal cybersecurity market, Mike Kirby, senior VP of worldwide sales at Tenable Network Security, said Monday.
Makrokanis has managed strategic partnerships between Splunk and federal system integrators during his time at the big data management company.
Before that, he oversaw Booz Allen Hamilton‘s (NYSE: BAH) business development activities within the government sector as well as led criminal investigations and special operations in two Maryland counties for more than 10 years.
He also currently serves as a U.S. Navy Reserve officer.
