TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 16, 2016 DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI) will offer security services for the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, based on geospatial data and satellite imagery, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
DigitalGlobe said Thursday the offering includes the Basemap+Daily imagery subscription service, the Human Landscape database of the local environment and Vricon‘s digital service model.
“Global event security requires rapid access to current, accurate and complete geospatial information for enhanced contingency planning, risk management and emergency response, ” said Daniel Jablonsky, general counsel and general manager for international defense and intelligence at DigitalGlobe.
