Pepco Energy Services has received an $80.4 million task order award to refresh energy installations at Naval Station Great Lakes.
The company will work to design new lighting, water and sewer conservation systems; repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning technologies and install a 2.2-megawatt solar hybrid array on the Naval Station Great Lakes landfill, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
Pepco will carry out the task in Illinois through August 2034.
Naval Station Great Lakes in North Chicago serves as a U.S. Navy training facility, where more than 25, 000 military and civilian personnel work and train.
