TYSONS CORNER, VA, January 15, 2016 Raytheon | Websense — a Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) and Vista Equity Partners joint venture — has announced its new name as Forcepoint as it aims to develop its internal network monitoring services, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
Forcepoint said Thursday the rebranding combines Raytheon and Websense cyber technology with the recently acquired Stonesoft firewall products.
“Our approach is to show less emphasis on the perimeter and firewall and more on the internal workings of users, data and movement so we can detect unwanted intruders, “ Ed Hammersla, chief strategy officer of Forcepoint, told ExecutiveBiz.
