DLA Selects 5 Companies for $980M FEMA Generator Supply Contract

The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded five vendors positions on a potential five-year, $980 million contract to provide generators through lease or rental arrangements under the third iteration of the DLA Federal Emergency Management Agency Generator program.

The Department of Defense said Thursday DLA Troop Support in Philadelphia launched a competitive acquisition process and received 14 responses for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

The awardees are:

  • ADS
  • Berger Cummins JV
  • Caterpillar
  • Inglett & Stubbs International
  • Texas Power & Associates

DLA will appropriate defense working capital funds from fiscal year 2025 through FY 2030.

Work on the firm-fixed-price IDIQ contract will run through May 22, 2030.

DLA FEMA Generator Program – Third Generation

According to a presolicitation published in October 2023, the contractors will provide diesel-powered generators equipped with all fuel tanks and lines through rental or lease agreements to support FEMA’s emergency response and disaster relief operations.

The selected companies will be responsible for all transportation, delivering the generator sets to incident support bases, generator staging bases and other intermediary locations within the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories.
