RingCentral has appointed Antonio Nucci, a technology industry leader, as chief artificial intelligence officer.
The AI-powered, cloud-based communications platform provider announced Nucci’s appointment in a LinkedIn post published Wednesday.
Leveraging Agentic AI to Transform Business Communications
In an interview published Wednesday on RingCentral’s website, Nucci said one of his top priorities is to “drive elevated experiences in business communications” by leveraging agentic AI tools.
“And we at RingCentral are uniquely positioned to deliver a unified agentic AI platform that powers specialized digital agents. I’m excited about the capabilities of agentic AI to leverage multiple modes of conversation to enhance productivity, streamline collaboration, and improve interactions,” the newly appointed chief AI officer noted.
Nucci also highlighted data readiness, digital infrastructure, interoperability and workforce transformation as key factors companies should consider when integrating AI into their operations.
Antonio Nucci’s Career Background
Prior to RingCentral, Nucci was chief technology officer at software company Aisera.
He previously served as CTO at Cisco, vice president and chief data scientist at Symantec and senior director of technology at Boeing’s intelligence and analytics business.
His industry career included tech leadership roles at Narus and Sprint.
The Silicon Valley tech industry veteran has advised on national security and has extensive experience in research and development, engineering and customer engagement across various areas, including AI, enterprise technology and security.
Nucci has co-authored six books, published over 100 papers and holds nearly 100 patents.
The RingCentral executive has a doctorate in computer software engineering from Politecnico di Torino in Italy.
