What Is 120mm Insensitive Munition High Explosive – Tracer?
The 120mm Insensitive Munition High Explosive-Tracer, or 120mm IM HE-T, is a tank ammunition designed to enhance the armor forces’ combat capabilities and bolster infantry support. The full-bore high-explosive warhead is intended to boost the tank’s firepower by complementing the main gun ammunition. The HE warhead can target bunkers, fortifications, light armor and personnel.
The IM HE-T has a two-mode hand-settable fuze that the tank commander can manually set to select a point detonation after target penetration.
