Virginia Robinson Joins Chugach Government Solutions as SVP, Chief Legal Officer

Chugach Government Solutions has named Virginia Robinson, a nearly 20-year legal adviser and business strategist, senior vice president and chief legal officer.

The company said Tuesday Robinson will be responsible for all legal, governance and compliance matters and provide strategic counsel to drive growth in the government contracting sector.

CGS President CGS President Dirk van der Vaart welcomed the addition of Robinson to the company.

“Her vast legal expertise, leadership, and strategic vision make her a perfect fit for our team as we continue to deliver superior performance, foster innovation, and ensure unwavering reliability,” said van der Vaart.

Virginia Robinson’s Career Background

Before CGS, Robinson was general counsel, chief ethics and compliance officer and corporate secretary at Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corp.

The seasoned legal executive held leadership positions at Amentum and DynCorp International and played a key role in corporate compliance, risk management and employment law. She also offered advice on business growth strategies and mergers and acquisitions, led corporate governance programs and defended major litigation cases.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she served as an associate at law firms Greenberg Traurig and Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley & Walsh and as a clerk to Judge William Hamblen of the Prince William County Circuit Court in Manassas, Virginia.

The Pennsylvania State University graduate is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional-International and an active member of the Association of Corporate Counsel.

She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
