The executive was most recently the VP of defense space for almost two years before he was elevated to his current position. In this role, Kurian led the company’s transition to mission integration to drive growth for its advanced space capabilities.
Before joining SAIC, Kurian spent almost four years at L3Harris Technologies, where he was the senior director and general manager of the space superiority division and the space control division.
Kurian was part of Harris Corporation when it merged with L3 Technologies forming L3Harris Technologies. He was serving as the director and chief engineer of space superiority and position, navigation and timing, or PNT, at the time of the merger in July 2019. Kurian held the position of integrated product team lead and program manager when he joined the company in 2015.
The SAIC executive worked for Exelis from 2011 to 2015 as a subsystem systems engineering lead. He moved to Harris Corporation when it acquired Exelis in May 2015. Similarly, Kurian became part of Exelis after it acquired ITT, where he served as a systems engineer at geospatial systems for almost five years.
