Army Issues Draft Solicitation for Next Generation C2 Modernization

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, or ACC-APG, is seeking feedback from industry partners for Next Generation Command and Control, or NGC2 draft solicitation.

According to the notice posted Monday on SAM.gov, the maximum value of the potential multiple award indefinite-quality/indefinite-quantity contract will be in hundred million dollars and will be divided among all selected vendors.

What Is the Next Generation Command and Control?

The NGC2 is an initiative by the Army aimed at enhancing command and control systems. It focuses on data-centric transformation that can be utilized by commanders for faster and more appropriate decision-making.

The modernization effort is designed to be highly adaptive to ensure it meets future updates and requirements. It also encourages collaboration and competition with other companies to foster innovation.

The initiative requires an Army Futures Command product owner and an Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology program manager to partner in planning and executing capability drops. It is necessary for these capability drops to be implemented or executed quickly to continuously enhance the system and address emerging needs.

Interested contractors can submit their responses by Feb. 13.
