Anderson announced his move to AT&T in a LinkedIn post published Thursday.
In the post, Anderson expressed his gratitude for the talented people, customers and partners he worked with at Microsoft and for the experiences, achievements and challenges that have shaped his professional career.
“As I step into my new role at AT&T, I am excited to continue supporting our nation by driving innovation and delivering solutions that help our country and advance the mission,” he added.
Wes Anderson’s Career Background
According to his LinkedIn profile, Anderson most recently served as VP of federal defense at Microsoft, where he partnered with U.S. defense customers in support of their missions using the company’s cloud offerings and other products.
His over two-decade career at Microsoft included time as VP and general manager of customer success, VP of U.S. commercial services and services delivery and head of U.S. public sector services.
The AT&T executive started his career as a civil servant at the U.S. Naval Academy.
