LMI Eyes Federal Tech Capability Expansion With JJR Solutions Purchase; Doug Wagoner Quoted

Tysons, Virginia-based management consulting firm LMI has acquired technology firm JJR Solutions as part of a push to broaden its technology modernization capabilities for federal government customers.

Established in 2009, Dayton, Ohio-based JJR Solutions works to help U.S. military and government agencies meet their digital transformation goals by enabling them to deploy low-code, cloud-based applications built using Agile principles and human-centered design, LMI said Wednesday.

“By integrating JJR Solutions’ expertise into LMI, we are reaffirming our commitment to provide rapid, innovative, human-centered design solutions for our customers. We aim to empower the federal government to better understand and serve the needs of the people they support,” said LMI CEO Doug Wagoner.

“Together, we will drive positive change for the constituents we serve, including our nation’s service members and veterans,” added Wagoner, a 2024 Wash100 awardee.

LMI will integrate its tech studio, the Forge, with JJR’s human-centered transformation tool Magnify and other platforms to accelerate the delivery of capabilities in support of the missions of government customers, including the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, Defense Health Agency and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Macquarie Capital acted as LMI’s merger and acquisition adviser and Houlihan Lokey exclusively advised JJR Solutions on the deal’s financial aspect.
