Epirus Selects COO Andy Lowery as New Chief Executive

Andy Lowery has been promoted from chief operating officer and manager of commercial operations to CEO of Epirus.

The company said Monday Lowery will step in for Ken Bedingfield, who is leaving after four years working for the organization.

Lowery started at Epirus in 2021 as chief product officer. Prior to that, he co-founded and led RealWear, maker of wearable voice-enabled devices.

His experience in government contracting comes from 25 years as a nuclear surface warfare officer and retired lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy, as well as six years as business area chief engineer of electronic warfare systems at Raytheon, now RTX (NYSE: RTX).

Since March 2021, Lowery has also been serving as strategic adviser at Apogee Semiconductor.

“With his technological prowess and decades-long track record of delivering leap-ahead technologies to our warfighters and consumers, Andy is well positioned to execute on the company’s strategic growth priorities and advance our mission success,” said Alex Moore, member of the board of directors of Epirus and its partner, tech and biosciences venture capital firm 8VC
