Booz Allen Lands $630M USSF Space Sensing Capabilities Support Contract

Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) has secured a seven-year, $630 million contract to provide the U.S. Space Force with systems engineering and integration services for space sensing capabilities, such as the Next Generation Overhead Persistent Infrared satellites.

The project builds on Booz Allen’s existing partnership with the Space Systems Command and will be carried out in El Segundo, California, as well as Colorado Springs and Aurora, Colorado, the company said Wednesday.

The single-award contract is expected to enhance SSC’s missile warning, reconnaissance, tracking, surveillance and environmental monitoring capabilities from space.

Booz Allen’s role includes integrating the $14.4 billion OPIR program using its artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity and agile software development expertise.

“This contract win is a key element of Booz Allen’s long-term, multiyear space strategy to meet client needs at the intersection of mission and technology,” said Eric Hoffman, vice president of space and nuclear programs at Booz Allen Hamilton.
