Rothe-Ares JV Wins $96M Contract to Assess MDA Information System Cybersecurity

The Texas-based joint venture between Rothe Development and Ares Technical Services Corp. has won a seven-year, $96.3 million contract to perform cybersecurity test and risk assessment work for the Missile Defense Agency.

ROAR JV will help MDA’s security control assessors identify potential risks to business, mission support and warfighter information systems, the Defense Department said Thursday.

DOD added the small business will support the agency in efforts to implement a risk management framework covering cybersecurity processes and functions.

The agency is obligating an initial $652,618 from its fiscal 2023 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.

Contract work will take place in Alabama, Virginia and Colorado through Jan. 2, 2030.

ROAR JV bested five other bidders for the competitively procured cost-plus-fixed-fee, level-of-effort contract.
