Parsons to Support State Department’s Humanitarian Mission Under $750M Contract; Jon Moretta Quoted

Xator, a subsidiary of Parsons (NYSE: PSN), will provide logistics support services to the U.S. government’s humanitarian assistance mission under a $750 million contract from the State Department.

The three-year, single-award contract includes medical, transportation and identity-related work for aid delivery operations, Parsons said Wednesday.

“We are ready to support the agency’s humanitarian efforts to save lives and alleviate suffering by ensuring that vulnerable and crisis-affected individuals receive assistance and protection,” said Jon Moretta, president of the engineered systems business at Parsons.

The award has a one-year base value of $250 million and will reach its potential value if the department exercises the two option periods worth $500 million combined.

Parsons supports the department in delivering integrated security systems to more than 280 diplomatic missions across the globe.
