Sikorsky Receives $164M Army UH-60M Helicopter Production Contract Modification

Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), will manufacture and deliver additional UH-60M Black Hawk aircraft to the U.S. Army under a $164.3 million contract modification.

The latest helicopter order was an exercised option under a previously awarded contract and production will take place at the builder’s facility in Stratford, Connecticut, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Army Contracting Command obligated the option’s full amount using the branch’s fiscal year 2023 aircraft procurement funds and expects work to be complete on June 30, 2027.

Sikorsky received a five-year, $4.4 billion contract in June 2022 for the production and delivery of up to 255 H-60Ms to the Army and international military customers.

In January 2023, the branch issued a $656.8 million modification for the foreign military sale of UH-60M aircraft to Australia.
