Jill McFarlane Named Redhorse CFO; John Zangardi Quoted

Jill McFarlane, a three-decade finance industry executive, has been appointed chief financial officer at Redhorse.

She will bring to the role her industry experience in federal contracts, mergers and acquisitions and program management as she oversees the Arlington, Virginia-based government information technology services contractor’s financial and budgetary operations, Redhorse said Monday.

The job of CFO is increasingly becoming more than just managing budgets. Jill’s proven ability to think beyond just finance to develop strategies, drive performance, and manage risk will enhance the Redhorse brand and valuation,” said John Zangardi, CEO of Redhorse and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s 2023 Wash100.

McFarlane most recently served as CFO at Brillient. Prior to Brillient, she was senior vice president and CFO at Technical and Project Engineering. She held controller roles at several GovCon firms, including L-3 Titan, Apptis, Athena Innovative Solution and KEI Pearson.

She offers support to financial professionals by serving as a mentor at the nonprofit organization CFO Rising.
