Former Centauri Exec Dave Dzaran Named Sumaria Systems CEO

Dave Dzaran, the former CEO of Centauri and a two-decade U.S. Air Force veteran, has been appointed to the chief executive role at Danvers, Massachusetts-based technology and engineering services contractor Sumaria Systems.

He will be responsible for driving Sumaria’s growth and sustaining a corporate culture centered around partners, customers and employees, the company said Tuesday.

Edward Marram, chairman of the board at Sumaria Systems, noted Dzaran brings to the management team his 38 years of executive leadership experience and technical background in systems engineering, sensor and spacecraft design, development, testing and integration.

Dzaran most recently served as a deputy program director at the National Reconnaissance Office and previously led Integrity Applications International through its rebranding move that launched Centauri in 2019, as well as the company’s sale to KBR (NYSE: KBR) in 2020.

He drove the expansion of products and services, capabilities and infrastructure during his 15-year combined leadership at IAI and Centauri.

While at the Air Force, Dzaran helped develop various airborne and space intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.
