James Fraley, former senior director of McAfee Enterprise Solutions, has been appointed senior vice president and chief scientist at Reston Virginia-based information technology services provider Pragmatics.
The two-decade cybersecurity professional will lead Pragmatics’ efforts to develop product and service offerings and expand its customer base in new market segments, the company said Wednesday.
At McAfee, Fraley worked with public and private sector customers to help them adopt security architectures and processes. His industry career also includes time at ReliaSource, Strategic Enterprise Solutions and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC).
He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and previously delivered a presentation for the federal government on various topics such as enterprise security, malware detection and cyber defense.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers published five papers from Faley.
Fraley served as information chief at the Virginia Army National Guard and program manager in the U.S. Army earlier in his career, according to his LinkedIn profile.
