Northrop to Develop Electronic Warfare RF Tech for Air Force Under $91M Award

Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has received a $91.28 million contract modification to develop and electronic warfare radio frequency compatibility tool for the U.S. Air Force.

The company will provide software development, testing, capability maturation and hardware qualification support services to the military branch, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Contract work will take place at Northrop’s facilities in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

USAF is obligating $11 million at the time of award from research, development, test and evaluation funds for fiscal year 2022 and the branch expects work to conclude by Aug. 31, 2024.

The contracting activity is the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson AF Base in Ohio.
