Comcast to Support Modernization of DISA Telecom Circuits; Ken Folderauer Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 30, 2021 — Comcast‘s (Nasdaq: CMCSA) government services arm will provide the Defense Information Systems Agency with Ethernet-based services for Commercial Ethernet Gateway’s regions four and five under two recently awarded contracts worth $155.8 million in combined value, ExecutiveBiz reported July 20.

The modernization of telecommunications circuits is aimed at helping DISA enhance network performance by replacing 17,000 legacy telephone circuits.

Ken Folderauer, vice president of government sales at Comcast Business, said the CEG initiative supports improved communication between the Department of Defense and its mission partners and helps connect and protect warfighters in cyberspace.
