The service branch awarded $65.3 million to General Dynamics’ ordnance and tactical systems unit and $54.5 million to Northrop’s Alliant Techsystems Operations business for M865A1 cartridge production services, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Army Contracting Command received two bids for the program and obligated the full amount of each contract at the time of award. Locations of work are contractor facilities in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Plymouth, Minnesota.
DOD expects GD-OTS to complete services on May 5, 2023, and Alliant Techsystems Operations by March 1 of the same year.
