CertiPath Names Jack Johnson as Advisor to Board of Directors; Jeff Nigriny Quoted

CertiPath has appointed Jack Johnson, Jr. as advisor to CertiPath’s Board of Directors, effective immediately, bringing more than 30 years of industry experience to the company, CertiPath reported on Tuesday.

“As part of Jack’s role, he will offer guidance and direction with regard to our growth initiatives and ongoing business strategies, identifying opportunities that align with CertiPath’s mission,” states Jeff Nigriny, president and founder of CertiPath.

Johnson currently serves as chief executive officer (CEO) and managing partner of Jack Johnson and Associates, a strategic consulting firm. Johnson will bring a deep experience in investigative, protective and intelligence-related duties. He also served in a variety of senior leadership positions throughout industry.

Previously, Johnson served as partner and head of the National Security Practice with Guidehouse Consulting. With the firm, he was also partner and Defense Sector Leader. With Guidehouse, Johnson was a consultant on a variety of security, law enforcement, risk management and intelligence related matters.

Johnson has served as a “Trusted Advisor” to senior officials within government, providing guidance in areas such as crisis management, best practices, organizational development and strategic planning.

He was appointed as the first chief security officer (CSO) for the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In this capacity he established the Office of the CSO, and assisted in the design and development of the Department.

He directed all security related activities for the 22 agencies and over 200 thousand employees that now comprise DHS, and served as the DHS representative to the National Security Council.

Prior to his appointment at DHS, Jack Johnson was in his 20th year with the U.S. Secret Service, and served in a series of roles with increasing responsibility, both domestically and internationally, ultimately retiring as the deputy assistant direct in the Office of Government Liaison.

“I have known and worked with CertiPath’s rock-solid, principled leadership team members for decades. They are a well-regarded company that has been filling an essential niche in the identity management space.” said Johnson. “I’m excited to work alongside these great professionals, as the company is on the cusp of expanding significantly and I look forward to being a part of their success.”
