Gary Hix, a 25-year information technology industry veteran, has been appointed chief technology officer at Hitachi Vantara’s federal arm.
He will oversee thought leadership, strategy execution and innovation efforts for Hitachi Vantara Federal’s tech portfolio for government clients and continue to lead the company’s solutions consultant team responsible for the development of platforms to help agencies meet their mission requirements, the company said Tuesday.
Dave Turner, president and CEO of Hitachi Vantara Federal, said Hix brings to the senior leadership team his experience in the IT field and ability to optimize performance capabilities of data-driven technology assets to further the company’s growth strategy in the federal IT market.
Hix previously worked at IBM (NYSE: IBM) as a program architect for the cloud services division and at Novus Consulting Group as a channel technology executive.
