TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 5, 2019 — BAE Systems has opened an innovation hub at the Georgia Cyber Center in Augusta, Ga., in a move to expand its support for cybersecurity programs and its workforce in the region, ExecutiveBiz reported Aug. 22.

The new office marks an extension of its business operations in the city, the company said Aug. 21. BAE executives Al Whitmore, president at BAE’s intelligence and security sector and a 2019 Wash100 winner, and Peder Jungck, vice president and general manager at BAE’s intelligence solutions business, were present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“The potential for collaboration, innovation, and mentorship that comes from sharing a campus with some of the brightest minds in cybersecurity today is truly limitless,” said Jungck.
