TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 20, 2019 — General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology business collaborated with the Defense Health Agency to move the latter’s enterprise billing platform to an Amazon Web Services cloud environment, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The DHA Solution Delivery Division and systems integrator General Dynamics Information Technology recently completed the transition of the Armed Forces Billing and Collection Utilization Solution, which has Impact Level 4 workload, to the AWS GovCloud (US-West) region, the company said Monday.
Kamal Narang, head of the GDIT health sector, said the migration serves to advance cloud agility within DHA.
The AWS GovCloud region will also work to enable ABACUS to deliver health services in line with data security and other compliance requirements, added Dave Levy, vice president for the AWS federal government sector and a 2019 Wash100 awardee.
