General Dynamics Updates, Tests MUOS Waveform for Navy Software-Defined Radios

TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 19, 2018 — A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) business unit has completed an update on a waveform technology for the Mobile User Objective System in support of U.S. Navy satellite communications using software-based radios, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The company said Monday General Dynamics Mission Systems has also tested the updated MUOS WFv3.1.5 waveform that is designed to facilitate secure voice, video and data communications across the MUOS network using the service branch’s Digital Modular Radios.
