Jim Maser, a more than 32-year aerospace industry veteran and former president of technical consulting firm James G. Advisors, has been named senior vice president of Aerojet Rocketdyne‘s (NYSE: AJRD) space business in a move that takes effect Aug. 13.
Aerojet Rocketdyne said Wednesday Maser will report directly to President and CEO Eileen Drake and oversee the unit’s work with NASA, defense and commercial launch systems; space and launch strategy and in-space propulsion systems.
He has held leadership positions at United Technologies Corp.‘s (NYSE: UTX), Boeing-led (NYSE: BA) Sea Launch company, Pratt & Whitney subsidiary and at SpaceX.
He currently serves on the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics’ board of trustees and previously led the association as president.
