TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 3, 2018 — General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) mission systems business has completed the installation and initial checkout phase of NASA’s Space Network and Ground Segment Sustainment program, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

The company said Wednesday it helped the space agency install equipment necessary to update its Space Network ground terminals, which are slated to undergo a communications test in late 2018, at the White Sands Complex in New Mexico.

“This is a very large-scale, complex program and together with our NASA team, we are making significant progress without interrupting the legacy Space Network Ground System’s day-to-day operations,” said Manny Mora, vice president and general manager of space and intelligence systems at General Dynamics Mission Systems.
