AT&T’s Jill Singer: Federal CIOs Should Consider Network Virtualization to Modernize Systems, Boost Cybersecurity

TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 14, 2018 — Jill Singer, vice president of national security at AT&T’s (NYSE: T) public sector business, has said network virtualization could help federal chief information officers modernize their IT system and bolster cybersecurity, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

CIOs should implement a software-based virtualized network to help manage bandwidth usage and support the delivery of new network services in line with mission and client requirements, Singer wrote in an article for The Cipher Brief published June 7.

“In a virtualized network, agencies can quickly update architectures and services by a software change rather than purchasing and deploying new hardware,” she added.
