Potomac Officers Club Completes Keynote Speaker Lineup for the 5th Annual Cybersecurity Summit

TYSONS CORNER, Va., April 20, 2018 – The Potomac Officers Club — a division of Executive Mosaic — has completed the lineup of keynote speakers for the 5th Annual Cybersecurity Summit, which will be held on April 24th at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner at 1700 Tysons Blvd, McLean, VA. The keynote speakers are: Ron Pontius (DoD), Adm. Mike Rogers (Cybercom). Dr. Steven King (DoD) and Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Ed Wilson (DoD).

Join the Potomac Officers Club for the 5th Annual Cybersecurity Summit to hear from public and private sector leaders on how federal agencies can improve their respective data security measures.

In 2017, the number of cyber attacks nearly doubled compared to the previous year. Both federal agencies and private businesses were targeted in approximately 160k individual cyber incidents according to the Online Trust Alliance. The explosion in malicious cyber activity is pushing both the public and private sectors to place an increased emphasis in defensive and offensive cyber training, incorporating innovative technologies into federal cybersecurity practices, and implementing the Cybersecurity Framework outlined by NIST.

“The Potomac Officers Club is looking forward to hosting our 5th Annual Cybersecurity Summit,” said Jim Garrettson, president and CEO of Executive Mosaic. “Due to the increase in malicious cyberattacks — plaguing both the private and public sector — protecting data and networks has become more important than ever. Our distinguished keynote speakers and panelists will offer insights into how the federal government and industry are working to defend against and combat these threats.”
