Northrop Grumman Preps for Final Test Phase on NASA Webb Telescope


TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 14, 2018 — Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) will soon move forward to the final test phase on NASA‘s James Webb Space Telescope to prepare it for transport to the Kourou launch site in French Guiana, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

NASA said Monday Northrop will conduct the final tests on the observatory’s combined optics and science instruments at its facility in Redondo Beach, California, followed by tests on the integrated spacecraft and sunshield as well as additional checks on the fully assembled telescope.
