BAE Systems Exhibits Proposed Type 31e Frigate Design for UK

TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 13, 2018 — BAE Systems has unveiled the design of its proposed Type 31e frigate for the U.K. government at the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The company said Friday it worked with shipbuilder Cammell Laird to develop the design of the frigate with a configurable mission bay that works to enable support for disaster relief, maritime interdiction, constabulary and other missions, as well as an open architecture, adaptable combat system.
