The satellites are undergoing processing at the SpaceX launch site at Vandenberg Air Force Base ahead of liftoff aboard a Falcon 9 rocket that includes a first stage originally used to send the third batch of Iridium NEXT satellites to space, Iridium said.

“With each day, we are meeting key milestones to complete our new network this year, and we can’t wait to see this fifth set arrive in space to keep up the momentum,” said Matt Desch, CEO of Iridium and a 2018 Wash100 inductee.
