General Atomics Unit to Supply Batteries for SOCOM’s Lockheed-Built Dry Combat Submersibles


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Feb. 20, 2018 — A General Atomics business unit has provided its Lithium-ion Fault Tolerant battery technology to power the Dry Combat Submersible platform that Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) is building for the U.S. Special Operations Command, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

Lockheed awarded a contract to General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems to build and deliver LiFT batteries for the DCS transport vessel, the latter said Thursday.
