General Dynamics to Deliver 1st Abrams Tank Update Prototypes to Army


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Sept. 26, 2017 — General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) land systems business is anticipated to deliver the first prototypes of the updated M1 and M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks to the U.S. Army by the end of September, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

Task and Purpose reported Friday the service branch aims to field the M1A2 System Enhancement Package Version 3 model with updated weapons, protection and electronic systems by fiscal year 2020.
