AT&T: 20 States, Territories Accept FirstNet Public Safety Network Plan


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Sept. 6, 2017 — AT&T (NYSE: T) has unveiled that a total of 20 U.S. states and territories have already opted into the First Responder Network Authority’s plan for a nationwide public safety broadband network, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The company said Friday Alaska, Hawaii, Nebraska, Puerto Rico and Tennessee are the latest to accept the implementation plan in which FirstNet and AT&T will invest resources to build the emergency communications network for law enforcement and other public safety personnel.
