Executive Mosaic, Tysons Corner, VA March 21, 2017 — Peter Smith, president and CEO of American Systems, has been selected for this year’s Executive Mosaic Wash100 for his leadership in the test and evaluation market.
The Wash100 is the premier group of private and public sector executives selected by Executive Mosaic’s organizational and editorial leadership as the most influential voices in the GovCon sector and recognized for their leadership and impact in shaping the industry.
Smith assumed the role of CEO at American Systems in 2014 after he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for four years.
Among the company’s contracts for test and evaluation services are its work with the U.S. Air Force for operational T&E support on fourth- and fifth-generation fighter aircraft under an $85 million contract and the $52 million contract from the Washington Headquarters Services for professional engineering services to the Defense Department’s developmental test and evaluation office.
Smith is also vice chairman of American Systems’ board of directors and a board member at the Professional Services Council.
