Joseph Cudney Named Parsons Federal SVP; Carey Smith Comments


Joseph Cudney

Joseph Cudney, formerly vice president of business development at Parsons, has taken a new role as international senior vice president for the engineering and infrastructure services contractor’s federal business.

Parsons said Tuesday Cudney will oversee international business development activities such as U.S. government international efforts, foreign military sales and direct commercial sales in his new position.

Carey Smith, Parsons federal group president and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017, said Cudney supported the company’s work with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency under the Cooperative Threat Reduction Integrating Contract II.

Smith added that Cudney helped grow Parsons’ business under the U.S. Army Corps of EngineersWorldwide Environmental Remediation Services contract.

He previously led business development efforts within the company’s environmental remediation and threat reduction businesses.

Before that, he served as technical director for munitions and chemical warfare materiel projects.

The 22-year Parsons veteran holds a bachelor’s degree in geophysics from the State University of New York and a master’s degree in hydrogeology from Florida State University.
