Chris Sorenson, former chief operating officer of Triple CanopyÂ and a 29-yearÂ U.S. ArmyÂ veteran, has been appointed as interim COOÂ of global logistics and stability services contractor Janus Global Operations.
He succeedsÂ Alan Weakley, who left JGO after a three-year tenure, the companyÂ said Thursday.
“Sorenson has deep international experience leading companies and commanding U.S. Forces, giving him an exceptional background to help lead our team and work with our commercial and governmental clients,” said JGO President and CEO Matt Kaye.
The retired ArmyÂ colonel previously worked asÂ chief of staff at Constellis GroupÂ and president of ACADEMI.
Sorenson held various leadership roles in theÂ Army Special Operations Command as well asÂ joint staff assignmentsÂ at two combatant commands.
He also served as aÂ board member atÂ National Strategic Protective Services andÂ the National Defense Industry Association’s Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict division.
