TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 8, 2016 — Wayne Lewandowski, vice president of federal operations at Vormetric,  has said data transformation and cloud are two areas that the data protection technology provider is exploring following its acquisition by Thales Group.

He told ExecutiveBiz in an interview published Wednesday that Thales, in turn, is looking into the applications of enterprisewide data security in the U.S. public sector market.

Thales acquired Vormetric in March for approximately $424 million in support of efforts to expand the Thales e-Security business portfolio, ExecutiveBiz reported.
