Charles Mathis, executive vice president and chief financial officer of technology products distributor ScanSource, will joinÂ Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC)Â to serve in the same dual rolesÂ starting Nov. 14.
SAIC said MondayÂ Mathis will succeed interim CFO Maria Bishop, who will return to her full-time post asÂ corporate controller.
Bishop assumed responsibilityÂ for theÂ McLean, Virginia-based government services contractor’s financial operations on an acting basis afterÂ former EVP and finance chief John HartleyÂ departed the company June 30.
âCharlie has broad global experience in the defense, technology, and financial sectors, â SAIC CEOÂ Tony Moraco said.

Mathis also previouslyÂ held the roles of EVP and CFO at South Carolina-based Force Protection, aÂ blast and ballistic-protected products manufacturing business that General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) purchasedÂ in late 2011.
Before Force Protection, he was the finance chief of Elbit SystemsÂ (Nasdaq: ESLT) subsidiary EFW.
