Northrop Grumman Team Secures DARPA Funds for 2nd Tern Test Vehicle


northrop Grumman_BLUETYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 21, 2016 — Northrop Grumman‘s prototype unmanned aircraft system for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency‘s Tactically Exploited Reconnaissance Node program will undergo ground and at-sea tests by 2018, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

DARPA said Thursday it has provided funds to the Northrop-led team to build a second Tern test vehicle in effort to advance the flight demonstration phase of the joint program with the U.S. Navy.
