PACIFIC OCEAN (April 13, 2018) F-35B Lightning II pilots with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit perform flight operations aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD-1) during certification exercises. The 31st MEU and Amphibious Squadron 11 conduct certification exercises as the final evaluation in a series of training exercises which ensures readiness for crisis response throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
