Option3, a cybersecurity private equity firm, has agreed to acquire Onclave Networks through its newly created platform company focused on delivering zero trust capabilities and professional consulting services to federal government customers.
“Onclave is the first of a series of planned acquisitions already underway, that we expect will exceed $100 million this year,” Manish Thakur, managing partner of Option3, said in a statement published Friday.
Onclave’s board of directors unanimously cleared the transaction, which is subject to approval by the company’s shareholders.
Through the new platform, Option3 will buy technologies designed to strengthen U.S. national defense systems and provide military-grade zero trust capabilities for the Department of Defense.
The newly established zero trust-focused platform is expected to expand its presence in the defense industrial base and critical infrastructure areas.
“This platform provides the systems in aggregate to address this critical and timely problem while remaining nimble to the current and future risks that face the warfighter on a daily basis,” said Lisa Donnan, operating partner at Option3.
