Hotard will take on the position of EVP and general manager at Intel beginning Feb. 1 and report to CEO Pat Gelsinger as he oversees the company’s suite of enterprise and cloud-based data center products and helps drive the adoption of artificial intelligence tools across industries, Intel said Wednesday.
He will succeed Sandra Rivera, who was appointed CEO of the Programmable Solutions Group, a standalone business of Intel.
“Justin is committed to our vision to create world-changing technologies and passionate about the critical role Intel will play in empowering our customers for decades to come,” said Gelsinger.
Before joining Intel, Hotard headed HPE’s High-Performance Computing, AI and Labs and directed the company’s advanced research group, Hewlett Packard Labs.
His industry career includes time as president of small business at NCR and director of product management at Symbol Technologies, now part of Samsung.
