Weingartner, as lead of the research and development organization of HashiCorp, will be responsible for managing operations and execution of the overall R&D product strategy across the entire product suite, the company said Monday.
“He has decades of leadership experience building and driving research and development, supporting large and complex engineering teams and multiple product lines,” Dave McJannet, CEO of HashiCorp, remarked about Weingartner.
The CPO brings to HashiCorp over three decades of leadership experience, having worked at SAP, Oracle and Google Cloud.
On the other hand, Tariq has 20 years of experience in building and scaling security programs and is tasked to continue expanding HashiCorp’s cloud-first security program. He joined the company in 2019 as CSO and senior vice president of technology. Anki, PwC and Microsoft are some of his previous companies.
“[Tariq’s] deep expertise in the security and technology industry has made him a trusted advisor to our customers,” said McJannet. “As HashiCorp continues to grow, the scope of his role is expanding so we can continue to best support our customers around the world.”
